Sod-turning ceremony of phase-two of the construction of a three-kilometre road on D3260.

MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Nkakareng Rakgoale who was joined by the Mopani District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr. Pule Shayi, PMC Management and Kgoshi Selwane has conducted a sod-turning ceremony of phase-two of the construction of a three-kilometre road on D3260. In July this year, the MEC handed over a three-kilometre road built by the Palabora Mining Company through its social responsibility program in the area. The mine then committed to further build an additional three-kilometre stretch on the Selwane-Eiland road.

MEC Rakgoale has also announced that RAL appointed a consultant to do the designs on the road and that subsequent upgrading of the remaining stretch of the road will follow. MEC Rakgoale has appreciated the good gesture by the mine as it augments government work of roads infrastructure provision.
