LAST MATRIC PUSH FOR SEKHUKHUNE MATRIC LEARNERS

Limpopo Education MEC, Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has urged learners from Sekhukhune East and South Education districts to use the remaining days to prepare thouroughly for the final Matric Examinations. The MEC was addressing more than 1 600 matric learners from different high schools in Sekhukhune at Sehlaku Technical School outside Burgersfort. The last push event was meant to motivate the lowest performing districts to raise the bar and assist the Province to improve the result.

The Department had various intervention programmes since the beginning of the year to assist learners from the two education districts. The province has 111 515 fulltime learners enrolled for matric this year. MEC Lerule-Ramakhanya says the perfomance of Sekhukhune will determine the overall perfomance of the province. She pleaded with learners to dedicate the remaining days to catch-up and group studies.
“We have done everything in our power to assist you, catch up programmes, enrichment classes and bringing subject experts to make sure that you are prepared. The ball is now in your court, make us proud” said MEC Lerule-Ramakhanya.

The MEC will conclude the motivation drive in Mogalakwena on Friday where learners are expected to pledge ahead of the exams.
