MALAMULELE POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER OF A 46 YEAR-OLD MALE VICTIM FOUND SEVERELY ASSAULTED BY THE COMMUNITY
POLOKWANE: A murder case is being investigated by the police in Malamulele under Vhembe District after a 46 year-old male victim succumbed to severe injuries while admitted at a local hospital on Tuesday 27 January 2026.
Police were informed about a male victim who died at the hospital and rushed to the premises.
Upon arrival, the medical personnel pointed out a lifeless body of a male victim lying on the bed with severe injuries on the body.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was severely assaulted by the members of the community at Jerome village on Monday 26 January 2026. Following the incident, the deceased was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention but untimely died in the early hours of Tuesday 27 January 2026 at about 04:50.
The motive of the incident is currently unknown at this stage. The deceased was positively identified by the next of kin as Andrew Mbikiza.
