SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED STOLEN PROPERTIES IN MODIMOLLE

POLOKWANE: Members of the Waterberg District Flying Squad have arrested a 29-year-old male suspect for possession of suspected stolen properties during an operation conducted in the early hours of Tuesday, 19 August 2025, at about 05:30 in Modimolle.

While patrolling and conducting stop-and-search duties along the N1 road at Kranskop, police spotted a blue Chevrolet sedan and stopped the vehicle. Upon searching the car, officers discovered an assortment of items in the boot, including: E-Tower battery, Sun Synk inverter, cordless angle grinder, gas cylinders and housebreaking implements.

The recovered items are valued at approximately R44,000. When questioned, the driver failed to account for the origin of the goods, leading to his immediate arrest.

The suspect will appear before the Modimolle Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges related to possession of suspected stolen properties.
