HEFTY TEN YEARS IMPRISONMENT SENTENCE METED OUT TO A 53-YEAR-OLD MAN FOR MURDER
POLOKWANE: A 53-year-old male accused, Godvry Ledwaba, sentenced to a hefty 10 years imprisonment for murder by the Mokopane Regional Court on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
During court proceedings, the court heard that on 2023-11-11, at Ga Mogotlane village, the accused assaulted the deceased with a stone on a forehead and severely injured him.
He was transported to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries after some days. Following the incident, police registered a murder case, and the responsible suspect was arrested.
The docked was investigated by Constable Billy Nchabeleng of Moletlane Investigating Unit.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Police Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the sentence handed down by the Court.
