LLEGED GERMAN TOURIST KILLER’S CASE SET FOR A FORMAL BAIL APPLICATION

The alleged German tourist killer, Napoleon Joseph Nyalunga (35), made his second appearance before the Kabokweni Magistrates’ Court today. He is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and attempted hijacking. This relates to the shooting incident, which happened on 03 October 2022, on Numbi Road, near White River, in which four German tourists, were attacked by a group of unknown men, who were driving in their vehicle.

It is alleged that the victims who were driving, were stopped by the assailants who ordered the victims to open the vehicle doors. After they resisted, one of the assailants fatally shot the driver, and the police investigations led to the arrest of Nyalunga, who appeared in court last Friday. The case is postponed to 28 October 2022, for a formal bail hearing.

Due to the seriousness of the charges against the accused, the NPA is opposing bail, while the police investigation continues.
