POLICE IN HAENERTSBURG ARREST AN ADDITIONAL 38-YEAR-OLD, OWNER OF REHABILITATION CENTER FOR MURDER
POLOKWANE The South African Police Service in Haenertsburg, Mopani District, has arrested an additional suspect, a 38 year old owner of rehabilitation center for murder of 22-year-old male victim at a Rehabilitation center situated at spitskop village ,Ga-Mamabolo.
According to the police report , on Monday 03 November 2025 at about 10:00 , five victims from the Rehabilitation Center escaped from the center. The security officer allegedly traced the victims and brought them back to the center. On their arrival at the center, they were allegedly assaulted with all sorts of objects as a result they sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, one of the victims succumbed to the injuries on the scene. The survivors were transported to the hospital for treatment.
On Wednesday, 12 November 2025, Haenertsburg detectives, Mopani High patrol and Mopani Tracking team conducted a successeful operation that resulted in the apprehension of the five suspects for murder and assault GBH. Furthermore, the rehabilitation center was found to be operating illegally.
The total number of suspects arrested is now six, (06). They will appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate court on Monday , 17 November 2025, facing charges of Murder and assault GBH.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest and further warned against those operating the so-called rehabilitation Centres illegally that the law will be very hard on them.
More arrests are imminent.
