ANC PETER MOKABA REGION MUST RE-RUN” TASK TEAM REPORT

BREAKING NEWS: “ANC PETER MOKABA REGION MUST RE-RUN” TASK TEAM REPORT

According to reports from Sunday Times, the report of vote rigging at Limpopo conferences has recommended that Peter Mokaba regional conference re-run.

The report was penned by ANC NEC members Noxolo Kiviet.

Kiviet was mandated by the ANC s national working committee to probe alleged’ vote-rigging at, especially, the Vhembe and Peter Mokaba regional conferences.

These allegations, among other issues, led ANC Limpopo chair Stan Mathabatha to “step aside” from his position citing “unethical” behaviour during the conferences.

Kiviet’s report is believed to recommend that only the Peter Mokaba conference be rerun. It had not met the threshold requirement, making it null and void.

Kiviet’s report apparently also recommended that the ANC’s Limpopo provincial secretary, Reuben Madadzhe, be “reprimanded” for addressing the Peter Mokaba conference despite the event having degenerated into a game of musical chairs.

According to sources, Ramaphosa told the meeting the report could not be left unchecked and suggested another solution should be found for the problems in Limpopo.

Mbalula, Deputy President Paul Mashatile and deputy secretary-general Maropene Ramokgopa had felt the report should be “totally squashed” and “not be raised again
