R71 MAGOEBASKLOOF ROAD NOW OPEN AFTER TRUCK CRASH AND FIRE
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety announces that the R71 Magoebaskloof road has been reopened to traffic after a thorough recovery process following a truck crash and fire on July 16, 2025.
A truck traveling from Polokwane to Tzaneen was involved in a crash, resulting in a fire. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tzaneen Medi-Clinic for treatment.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow all traffic rules to ensure their safety while traveling on the R71.
The Department of Transport and Community Safety appreciates the efforts of the emergency services and road maintenance teams who worked tirelessly to clear the area and restore traffic flow.
