LIMPOPO HEALTH DEPARTMENT MOURNS THE LIFE OF AN ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT PERSONNEL
Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba is angered, hurt and saddened by the gruesome murder of a 41 year old Advanced Life Support Paramedic attached to Grobelaarsdaal EMS Station in Sekhukhune District in an alleged domestic violence incident.
It is alleged that the husband of the officer stabbed her with a sharp object over the weekend and run away. Today he handed himself to the local police concerning the same incident.
MEC Dr Ramathuba says the loss of life of one person to domestic violence is but too many. “We are extremely saddened about the gruesome manner in which our employee, a life saver lost her life. Even more sad is that she is alleged to have died in the hands of someone she loved, her husband. It is very sad that we lost such a scarce skill to domestic violence,” said Ramathuba.
The MEC has also on behalf of the department sent out condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased. Department has also arranged counselling for the family and colleagues. May her soul rest in peace.
