POLICE ARREST A 39 YEAR OLD MALE SUSPECT FOR BRUTAL MURDER OF FEMALE VICTIM IN MALAMULELE
POLOKWANE The Police in Malamulele have arrested a 39-year-old male suspect believed to be the husband of a 35-year-old female victim who’s lifeless body was found at her place of residence on 08/08/2025, Friday evening at around 22:30.
At approximately 22:30, the Police were summoned to the scene at Malamulele section D .On their arrival at the scene, a body of female victim was found in a pool of blood with several stabbed wounds on her upper body .
She was certified death by the emergency medical personnel at the scene.
The preliminary report revealed that on Friday evening, the victim called her younger sister, screeming for help. The younger sister was accompanied by someone and proceeded to the address. On their arrival, they noticed a smoke in the house. They forced the door to open, and a lifeless body was found laying on the floor bleeding, and her legs were partially burned. The information received by the police is that the victim had just arrived coming back from Durban on a school trip with the learners when the incident took place
The alleged suspect after the committing crime, he drove on high speed and collided with a bus in Watervaal policing area, afterward, he fled from scene by another vehicle to Mabambe village in Malamulele policing area where he was arrested.
The male suspect will appear before Malamulele Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 11 August 2025, on murder charge.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the brutal killing of the female victim. She urged the couples in romantic relationship to seek help from professionals instead of resorting to violence.
