THOHOYANDOU FCS INVESTIGATE RAPE CASE IN VHULAUDZI POLICING PRECINCT
POLOKWANE- The Thohoyandou FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit are investigating a cases of rape perpetrated against a 16-year-old girl. The incidents happened on 2024-05-26 and 2024-06-01 in Tshedza Village, under the Vhulaudzi policing precinct.
According to information, the suspect came to the victim’s residence and found her alone. He asked for a lighter. Afterwards the suspect forced the victim into the house, threatened to kill her and undressed the victim, himself and then rape her. Thereafter, he went to his residence as they are staying within the same locality
It is reported that again, on 01 June 2024, the suspect called the victim to his residence. She went there, and he raped her again. He then instructed her not to inform anyone or else he will kill her.
On 04 June 2024, the victim informed her uncle about the incidents, and the matter was reported to the police.
Police opened two counts of rape and the docket was transferred to Thohoyandou FCS unit to trace and arrest the suspect.
