22-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO FATTALY STABBED HIS FATHER IN SESHEGO ARRESTED

POLOKWANE The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has commended the SAPS Seshego Detectives for the meticulous investigations that led to the arrest of the 22-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed to death his father, 54, in the early hours of Saturday 17 February 2024 at their residence in Ext 71, Seshego.

On this fateful day, the suspect allegedly arrived home late, highly intoxicated from liquor
and got into a heated argument with his father. He then stabbed him several times with a knife and fled the scene. The victim, identified as Kwena Edwin Mahlo , was certified dead at the scene.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, 22 February, in Polokwane following a positive tip-off.

The suspect is expected to appear before Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 23 February 2024, on a charge of murder.

Police investigations continue.
