POLICE ARE STILL ON THE HUNT FOR SUSPECTS FOLLOWING DISCOVERY OF MAN’S BODY IN RIVER

POLOKWANE – Burgesfort police in Sekhukhune District are investigating a case of murder after the discovery of the body of an unknown man at GaManoke river on 19 February February 2024 at about 06:00.

The police were allegedly notified by community members about the discovery. The Provincial Search and Rescue Unit was activated. They then started with the search operation and managed to retrieve the body. The victim was found with hands tied up and the body was already at the advanced state of decomposition.

The deceased who might be in his thirties, was wearing red scorch trousers.

The Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenanr General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident and urged community with information to assist police so that perpatrators must be arrested

Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist to identify the deceased or with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Sergeant Phineas Modiba on 076 429 8388 or the crime stop number 0860010111or the nearest Police Station or use MySAPS App.

Police investigations are still continuing.
