POLICE MAKE A BREAKTHROUGH BY ARRESTING FIVE SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN SERIOUS CRIMES AT VHEMBE DISTRICT
POLOKWANE: SAPS Thohoyandou Task Team under Vhembe District made a breakthrough by arresting five suspects aged between 17 and 31 for cases including murder, business robberies and possession of unlicensed firearms with ammunition, on Friday, 10 November 2023.
The team was on operation tracing wanted suspects when they apprehended these suspects through positive leads.
They were arrested separately, three suspects aged between 23 and 25 were linked with two cases of business robberies, and murder occurred during October 2023. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old suspect was also found in possession of two unlicensed firearms with ammunition.
Another suspect aged 17, was arrested for the same business robbery case, and a 31-year-old was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe lauds the arrest and the recovery of the firearms as Thohoyandou Task Team was hitting hard on criminals at the area.
The suspects will appear before Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court soon.
The Police investigations are continuing.
