Limpopo Congratulates Thapelo Molomo for Winning Idols 18
Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) is planning a major Welcome Ceremony for Idols Season 18 Winner Thapelo Molomo this coming weekend.
Molomo who hails from Mokopane in Mogalakwena Municipality (Limpopo)was crowned the overall winner on the night of Sunday, 13 November 2022.,after gruelling weeks of non stop tight competition.
The MEC for DSAC, Ms Nakedi Kekana, was in Pretoria at the Idols 18 Season Finale to congratulate Thapelo for this momentous win.
“We congratulate Thapelo the son of Limpopo for a deserved win, he has talent and ably showed the rest of South Africa that he deserves the crown,” said MEC Kekana.
MEC Kekana went on to say: “We had no doubt that Thapelo will bring the win home, that’s why we started preparing for his homecoming as early as two weeks ago, when it became apparent that we shall have a winner at the Idols.”
The MEC was accompanied by Mogalakwena Mayor, Councillor Ngoako Taueatsoala, Thapelo’s family, colleagues from the South African Police Services (SAPS), where Thapelo works, as trauma counselor. Team Limpopo had drummed up support for over two weeks to vote for Thapelo who never disappointed.
As the DSAC prepares for the Mapungubwe Festival in December 2022, MEC Kekana emphasized that she would like to see Thapelo join the line-up as part of expanding his fan base within the province.
Kekana concluded by saying that Thapelo is among hordes of artists and beauty queens who are keeping the Limpopo flag high.

She didn't arrive as promised and left many of her Tsonga fans disappointed. Our next effort was to meet her at one of her events, where it was agreed that we forgive and forget, and that she would come to our next event to pay back the money. Our lawyers finally sent a letter of demand for the payment after numerous attempts.
