POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AN INCIDENT IN WHICH SIXTY TABLETS AND ONE LAPTOP WHERE ROBBED AT A LOCAL SCHOOL UNDER SEKGOSESE POLICING AREA

POLOKWANE: The police in Sekgosese, under Mopani District are investigating a business robbery incident where valuable items, comprising sixty tablets and a laptop, worth one hundred and sixty-three thousand rands (R163000-00) were stolen.This harrowing incident took place on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at about 00:40.

It is alleged that a male security officer was busy on duty at a local Primary school in Lemondokop village when he was suddenly confronted and overpowered by four unknown male suspects.

The suspects were allegedly in possession of firearms and wearing balaclavas.

The suspects allegedly broke the door and subsequently managed to open a safe where sixty Tablets and one laptop were kept.
Afterward, the suspects apparently tied the security officer and allegedly drove off in a getaway motor vehicle

The security officer ultimately managed to untie himself and reported the incident to police.
