GIYANI POLICE LAUNCH SEARCH FOR MISSING 23-YEAR-OLD MAN

POLOKWANE– Police in Giyani have launched a search operation for a missing 23-year-old man, Thulani Evans Chauke, residing at Makosha Village .

According to information received, the victim allegedly left home on Thursday, 18 September 2025, travelling to Gauteng. The complainant, who is the victim’s mother, reported that on the same day she received a call from an unknown man informing her that he was with the victim at Mooketsi Garage in Limpopo.

A week later, she received another call from her brother-in-law, who indicated that he was with the victim at Marabastad in Pretoria, Gauteng. The complainant arranged an Uber trip for the victim to return home; however, he never reached home. The Uber driver later alleged that he dropped the victim off at Masingita Garage in Giyani.

On 17 November 2025, the complainant reportedly received a call from another unknown man who claimed to be with the victim at a garage in Middelburg, further stating that the victim was requesting transport to Zimbabwe.

The victim was last seen wearing: black jeans,black T-shirt and blue sneakers.

A search operation conducted by police, relatives, and community members has so far yielded no success.
