POLICE INVESTIGATE AN INQUEST AFTER HUMAN REMAINS DISCOVERED IN CHEBENG VILLAGE
SESHEGO: The Police in Seshego, under the Capricorn District, re investigating an inquest docket following the discovery of human remains at Chebeng Village.
The discovery was made on Thursday, 31 October 2025, at about 08:00, and the matter was officially reported to the police on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at around 15:00.
According to reports, the police received information about human remains found in the area and immediately proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, they were shown what appeared to be a human skull protruding from the ground.
Further investigation led to the discovery of a shallow grave, where the rest of the skeletal remains were found inside a plastic sack. The body was already beyond recognition.
The remains will be subjected to forensic analysis to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
Police investigations are continuing.
