BREAKING NEWS : EFF Slams Bail Decision in KT Molefe Case, Cites Judicial Capture

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has expressed outrage over the recent bail decision in favor of Katiso “KT” Molefe, a businessman accused of multiple high-profile murders. In a statement, the party highlighted that this is not Molefe’s first brush with judicial leniency, pointing to a previous bail granted in the Armand Swart murder case.

The EFF’s statement suggests that Molefe’s release on bail is evidence of a compromised judiciary that favors those with wealth and influence. This sentiment echoes concerns raised by Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi about the deep-seated crisis within the justice system.

Molefe was granted R400,000 bail by the Johannesburg High Court, with strict conditions, including regular reporting to the police station and restrictions on contacting state witnesses. The court’s decision has sparked intense debate, with some arguing it underscores the need for a more robust approach to bail applications in serious crime cases.
