BREAKING NEWS : 11-Year-Old White Boy Shoots A Black Farm Worker, Claiming He Was Shooting Guinea Fowls
An 11-year-old white boy allegedly discharged a firearm fatally wounding a black 30-year-old farm worker, claiming that he was shooting at guinea fowls. This devastating incident occurred on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at around 05:45, at a farm in Thabazimbi, Limpopo province.
According to the police, the boy was handling the firearm when it went off, striking the farm worker in the upper left chest. Despite efforts from emergency medical services, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police launched an investigation into the incident and arrested the boy’s 43-year-old father, charging him with negligent handling of a firearm. The firearm and spent cartridge were confiscated for further investigation.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident. Both the child and his father are expected to appear before the Thabazimbi Magistrate’s Court on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing the importance of responsible firearm ownership. “This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder that firearms must be handled with the utmost care and stored securely at all times. Parents and guardians must ensure that children do not have access to firearms under any circumstances,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
