PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER CONDEMNS DOMESTIC-RELATED INCIDENT AT LULEKANI
Polokwane: The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, issued a stern condemnation following a distressing domestic-related tragedy in Lulekani Newstands on Saturday, 04 October 2025, at about 5:00.
Police responded to a shooting incident in Lulekani’s new stands and upon arrival at the location, they discovered a male victim lying down unresponsive with gunshot wounds. Paramedics were summoned and certified the victim dead at the scene.
Further Investigation indicated that a male individual shot at the victim he accused of having a romantic connections with the wife. Following the shooting incident, the suspect went to his parental home in Kurhula, where he allegedly shot himself in the head and died instantly.
The firearm believed to have been used during the commission of the crime and spent cartridges were found at the scene.
Investigations further revealed that the suspect and his wife were having domestic troubles.
The deceased’s identity is still withheld pending investigation.
Police have opened a case of murder and inquest and the investigations are ongoing.
