POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT AFTER SECURITY OFFICER FATALLY STABBED AT FAST-FOOD OUTLET IN SENGATANE, SESHEGO
POLOKWANE – The police in Seshego have launched a manhunt following the brutal murder of a 36-year-old security officer who was fatally stabbed while on duty at a fast-food outlet in Sengatane Village, Seshego policing area.
Police were summoned to a local hospital on Saturday morning, 13 September 2025, at about 06:30 after the victim was admitted with a deep stab wound. Preliminary investigations revealed that the security officer was on duty when he allegedly got into an argument with a male customer. The suspect then produced a sharp object and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim was initially treated at the local hospital and later transferred to the Provincial Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries at about 14:30.
The suspect, who remains unknown at this stage, was reportedly driving a white Toyota Avanza without registration numbers. The vehicle had a bold black sticker on the bonnet with the word “London” written on it.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has strongly condemned the senseless act of violence and has ordered that the suspect be traced and brought to book without delay.
