Joburg Law Enforcement Launches High-Impact Operation to Restore Inner City Order
In a bid to reclaim hijacked buildings and tackle rampant crime, Johannesburg law enforcement officials have embarked on a high-impact operation aimed at restoring order in the inner city. This initiative is part of the City’s efforts to address service delivery challenges, including vandalism, illegal utility connections, and unregulated trading.
The operation focuses on repossessing hijacked buildings, many of which have become hotspots for criminal activity. Authorities have identified several buildings, including the M.O.T.H Building, Vannin Building, and CASA MIA, which have been declared unsafe or unfit for habitation.
