POLICE SEIZED DAGGA, ARRESTED TWO SUSPECTS SEPARATELY FOR POSSESSION SUSPECTED STOLEN PROPERTY AND DAGGA
POLOKWANE: Subsequent to operation conducted separately at Bela Bela and Modimolle Policing areas, between 2025-08-14 and 2025-08-16, two suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and suspected stolen property.
In Modimolle, a 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of a suspected stolen laptop valued at R8000.00. The laptop was seized at Mandela Village.
Meanwhile, in Bela Bela, a 51-year-old man was found in possession of dagga, weighing 3,80kg with an estimated street value of R11 400,00.
According to information, members of SAPS, including Modimolle K9 unit, received information which they immediately activated an operation, accurately followed the leads, and arrested the suspect.
The suspect in Modimolle will appear before the local magistrate court on Monday, 18 August 2025, and the suspect arrested at Bela-Bela was released on J534 of R1000.00.
Police investigations are continuing.
