A 53 YEAR-OLD MALE GRANTED TEN THOUSAND BAIL FACING MULTIPLE OFFENCES
POLOKWANE: A 53 year-old Edmond Nduna Mbhetse has appeared before the Phalaborwa Magistrate court on Monday 28 July 2025 facing multiple charges that include intimidation, assault common, crimen injuria and failure to comply with the instruction of the officer of the law.
He was released on a bail of Ten Thousand Rands (R10,000) and his case was postponed to 27 August 2025 for further police investigations.
The suspect was nabbed on Monday 28 July 2025 and his appearance follows an incident that took place last week on Monday 21 July 2025 at about 11:00.
Reports suggest that Traffic Officials were busy performing their routine duties along R71 public road under Phalaborwa when a 53 year-old man was stopped driving a Black Ford Ranger bakkie.
It appears the motorist had heated arguments with the officials, which at some stage turned physical and that led to the official opening a case that resulted in several charges .
The matter was reported to the local police who immediately commenced with the investigation that led to his apprehension on Monday 28 July 2025.
Police investigations are continuing.
