15 YEARS IMPRISONMENT AGAINST FOUR MALE ACCUSED FOR MURDER OF A 29 YEAR-OLD MALE VICTIM

POLOKWANE: A 15 years imprisonment has been metted out against each of the four male accused by the Thabamoopo Magistrate court on Monday 28 July 2025.

Their incarceration emanated from the brutal murder incident of a 29 year-old male victim that occurred at Byldrift, Ga-Seloane village under Lebowakgomo policing area during September 2020.

The court noted that the victim was walking alone on the street when he met Karabelo Madirane Seloane (26), Promise Kgaphola (27), Terrence Seloane (28) and Denish Phaahla (33).

The accused suddenly attacked the victim with stones and later choked him until he passed away and they fled the scene on foot afterward. The deceased was positively identified at the scene by a relative as Pabalelo Shaku.

Following the incident, a murder case was opened at the local police station and a manhunt was launched .

Sergeant Michael Magadani was tasked to investigate the matter and through his industrous abilities, he managed to apprehend the accused the following day at Ga-Seloane village.

The accused made numerous court appearances and were later granted bail until their imminent sentencing on Monday 28 July 2025.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo , Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has appreciated the positive attitude that was displayed by Sergeant Makhadani in ridding this province of criminals who took an innocent life and left agony with the family through the untimely death of their loved one.
