32-YEAR-OLD ACCUSED MAN SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS DIRECT IMPRISOMNENT FOR MURDER
POLOKWANE: The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has commended Sergeant Victor Thabelo Ndou of SAPS Mphephu for a remakable achievement when he investigated a case of murder and through his meticulous investigation secured a milstone conviction.

The case was finalized on Monday 21 July 2025 at Sibasa Regional Court in Vhembe District.
The court noted that, on 07 July 2017 at around 21:40, the victim( 24 years) was stabbed by unknown suspect with a sharp object while relieving himself at a local bar lounge at Tshivhilidulu village under Mphephu policing area.
The incident was reported to the police, who then summoned the emergency medical service personnel .
Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
The case was allocated to Detective Sergeant Ndou who worked tirelessly around the clock to crack the case. During the Investigation he identified and arrested the suspect on Monday, 10 July 2025.
The accused, Dzialwa Makonde Victor, attended the court proceedings until he was found guilty and finally sentenced on Monday, 21 July 2025, at Sibasa Regional Court.
The accused was convited and sentenced as follows :
Count 1: sentenced to 18 years direct imprisonment for murder, interms of Section 51(2) Act 105 of 1997.
In terms of Section 103(2) Act 60/2000, the accused was then declared unfit to possess firearm.
