POLOKWANE – Two male suspects appeared before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 17 July 2025, following their arrest in connection with a house robbery that occurred in Giyani in April 2025.

The breakthrough came during an intelligence-driven operation conducted on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, by Giyani Detectives in collaboration with the Mopani District Trio Task Team. The operation was carried out at Mphagani village, where a 36-year-old suspect, Loyd Nukeri, was arrested after he was found in possession of a cellphone believed to have been stolen during the robbery.

Further investigations led police to a farm in the Letsitele policing area, where the second suspect, Colly Rasekhale (42), was apprehended and positively linked to the same incident.

Both suspects are facing charges of house robbery and possession of suspected stolen property. The suspects were remanded in custody until 24 July 2025 for further police investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, and efforts to trace additional suspects continue. Police urge anyone with information that could assist in the arrest of the remaining suspects to contact the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, use the MySAPS App, or report to the nearest police station.
