FIRE INCIDENT AT UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO CAMPUS
The South African Police Service in Limpopo confirms that a fire incident occurred at the College of Africa, University of Limpopo campus in Mankweng, Capricorn District, on Sunday, 6 July 2025 at approximately 11:00.
According to the preliminary reports, the fire started inside one of the student’s room and spread rapidly due to a gas burst that affected a large portion of the college buildings.
Emergency services, including firefighters, responded promptly to the scene and successfully brought the fire under control. All relevant stakeholders were summoned to attend the incident
The matter is currently being investigated as an arson inquiry.
