SON APPEARS IN COURT FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF HIS ELDERLY MOTHER
Polokwane, Limpopo – A 45-year-old man, Lesiba David Ledwaba from Sebora Village, has appeared in the Seshego Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of murder following the gruesome death of his 87-year-old mother.
It is alleged that on 25 June 2025, the accused murdered his mother and dismembered her body. A neighbour, who had not seen the elderly woman for more than two days, reported her missing. On 28 June 2025, police visited the deceased’s homestead, where they discovered her dismembered remains concealed in plastic buckets. Items believed to have been used in the commission of the crime were also recovered from the scene. The accused was arrested shortly thereafter.
The case has been postponed to 09 July 2025 for a bail application. The accused remains in custody.
