R100 000 REWARD ON OFFER FOR POSITIVE INFORMATION THAT CAN LEAD TO THE ARREST OF SUSPECT INVOLVED IN THE MURDER OF ROMAN CATHOLICS CHURCH PREIST WILLIAM BANDA (36)

POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Limpopo seek for positive information that can assist the Police in arresting a killer of William Banda (36), Malawian male national, a Priest at Tzaneen Roman Catholic Church (RCC), who was gunned down at while preparing for a church semon on 13 March 2024, at around 08:00.

Reports suggest that on the said date, an unknown male suspect arrived at the church pretending to be a congregant. He suddenly pulled out a firearm and shot the priest several times as he was preparing to hold a morning semon. The suspect thereafter fled the scene in a white vehicle without registration numbers.

The Police attended the incident and the Priest was certified dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services personnel. A case of murder was opened for further investigations.

The South African Police Service is offering a reward of R100 000,00.for any valuable information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspect involved in this heinous incident.

Anyone with positive information that can lead to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the perpetrator may contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Shai on 082 465 2996 or Provincial Commander of Murder and Robbery Unit Colonel Tinyiko Shilenge on 071 673 1814. Alternatively, may use crime stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest Police Station or may use MySAPSApp.
