SECURITY COMPANY OWNER AND ANTI CRIME ADVOCATE, WINTER SEKGOBELA STABBED TO DEATH IN KHUJWANA
Maropeng Winter Sekgobela, a security company owner and anti-crime advocate from Lenyenye, was fatally stabbed at Maswanganyi Tavern in Khujwana on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 16:00.
Sekgobela was transported to a nearby hospital by his brother, Michael, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The motive for the stabbing is currently under investigation.
The suspect has been identified as Willy Khoza.
Following the stabbing, Sekgobela reportedly drove off in his vehicle, crashing into a fence and causing damage to a nearby house.
ANC Bornfire Maponya Branch Secretary Emmy Maake issued a statement, saying, “ANC mourns the passing of its member, Maropeng Winter Sekgobela.”
Police investigations are ongoing.
