LIMPOPO PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ATTENDING TO A FATAL INCIDENT INVOLVING MENTAL HEALTHCARE USERSPATIENTS Provincial AT PHILADELPHIA HOSPITAL
The Limpopo Provincial Government is deeply saddened to report a tragic incident involving two mental healthcare users at the Philadelphia Hospital in the Sekhukhune District, Elias Motswaledi municipality.
In response to this incident, the MEC for Health, Ms Dieketseng Mashego, is en route to the hospital to gather further details and to assess the situation firsthand. The police are currently on the scene.
The Department of Health will provide updates on the situation as more information becomes available.
The Provincial Government’s primary concern is the well-being of the patients and the families involved and urges the community to remain calm as the province navigates this unfortunate event.
