A 42-YEAR-OLD FOREIGN NATIONAL NABBED IN POSSESION OF UNLICENSED FIREARM AND AMMUNITION APPEARS BEFORE MAGISTRATE’S COURT IN THOHOYANDOU
POLOKWANE : The suspect Last Changore (42) has today, on Tuesday, 21 January 2025, appeared before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s court for charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
He was remanded in custody until 10 February 2025 for further Police investigations.
His arrest comes after the Police, who were on operation, stopped and searched a taxi with passengers at Tshisaulu (Dzindi).
During the search, one of the passengers was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm (9mm) with one ammunition.
It was established that he also did not have documents to be legally in the country, and he was immediately arrested.
The Police investigations are ongoing.
