SIX SUSPECTS WILL APPEAR BEFORE NEBO AND JANE FURSE MAGISTRATE’S COURT FOR POSSESSION OF UNLICENSED FIREARM , AMMUNITION AND DEALING IN DRUGS
POLOKWANE Three suspects, two females Elizabeth Tsetselwa (45) Kedibone Mpinane (41 ) and Matias Maphanga, )40) had appeared before Nebo Magistrate’s courts today, Friday, 09 January 2026 for dealing in drugs in Nebo, Sekhukhune District.
The trio were remanded in custody until next week, Thursday, 16 January 2026, for formal bail application.
On Thursday, 08 January 2026, in the afternoon, the Provincial Flying Squad members acted on intelligence driven information about a suspect dealing in drugs at Nebo policing area.
The team successfully operationalized the information. As a result, three suspects in possession of compressed dagga to the estimated street value of R160000.00
In another incident, the members spotted a suspicious Grey Polo VW along Nebo route to Mamone village with two occupants inside. The vehicle movement was monitored until it was intercepted and searched. An unlicensed firearm without serial number and eight 08 live ammunition were confiscated. Five hundred 500 sachets of drugs (nyaope) were found in their possession. These two male suspects were placed under the arrests on the spot for dealing in drugs.
The preliminary investigation led to the arrest of another male suspect for possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Three male suspects aged between 32 and 47 will appear before Jane Furse Magistrate’s courts on Monday, 12 January 2026, facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs.
