POLICE IN GIYANI INVESTIGATE A MURDER OF 11-YEAR-OLD VICTIM IN MAPUVE VILLAGE (GIYANI)

POLOKWANE The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe ordered the detectives to probe the murder incident, where an eleven year old child was found dead in his residence place on Sunday, 16 November 2025.

The Police were summoned to the scene of murder at Mapuve village in Giyani, Mopani District. On their arrival, the police found a female person who pointed out the room where the victim was found. The victim was found in a pool of blood wrapped in a blanket, having an open wound on his neck.

The emergency medical service personnel were called to the scene. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The deceased identity is withhiled

The preliminary report indicates that the mother of the three children aged two, five, and eleven years old left them at night. The following morning, when she returned home, she found the elderly son (11) laying dead in the room wrapped with a blanket.
