A CASE PERTAINING TO AN ALLEGED TENDER IRREGULARITIES REGISTERED AT POLOKWANE POLICE STATION BY ACTION SA

POLOKWANE– The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo under the leadership of the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has noted a tender irregularities case registered by Action SA against Polokwane municipality at Polokwane police station earlier today.

The case relating to an alleged tender irregularities between the period 2023-01-10 and 2025-07-28 has been registered at Polokwane police station by a 40 year old representative of Action SA against senior officials attached to Polokwane municipality.

According to the complainant, tenders were awarded irregularly and in contravention of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act during the above-mentioned period.

Due to the seriousness of these allegations, this case has been referred to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) for further investigation and handling.
