SEKHUKHUNE POLICE ACTIVATE A MANHUNT TO TRACK DOWN WANTED FUGITIVE

POLOKWANE: The Police in Sekhukhune District intensified a massive manhunt against the most wanted suspect, Zimbabwean national, Lovemore Musoyi aged 35, who escaped from Police custody in January 2023. The accused escaped from Police van at Moutse Mall in Dennilton Policing area, on 01 January 2023, at around 10:00 while being transported to Witbank Correctional Services with two(02) other suspects, who were later re-arrested.

The suspect is being sought for nine(09) cases which include murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, house robbery, business robbery, kidnapping, stock theft, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The cases were committed at Elandskraal, Motetema, Dennilton and Rakgoadi policing areas.

In the recent incident that occurred 02 February 2024 at around 11:00, he went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence and found his ex-girlfriend’s brother. They had a fight and in the process the suspect shot the victim inside the mouth. Thereafter, stole a television set and fled the scene. He had since been on the run.

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo SAPS Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered the Investigation team to intensify investigation with a view to track down and apprehend him to face the full might of law.
