TWO SUSPECTS BELIEVED TO BE PART OF SYNDICATE TERRORISING BAKERY DELIVERY TRUCKS IN SEKHUKHUNE APPREHENDED

POLOKWANE: The Police in Sekhukhune District have apprehended two suspects aged 20 and 26, believed to be involved in a series of criminal activities targeting bakery delivery trucks and local businesses in Nebo, Rakgoadi and Masemola policing precinct since last month( March).

Following a thorough investigation and collaborative efforts between Nebo and Jane Furse tracking team members, the suspects were identified and arrested in Nebo on Thursday night, 11 April 2024.

During the arrest, police recovered one unlicensed firearm believed to have been used during the crime and some of the robbed items belonging to the victims.

Both suspects are currently in custody and will soon appear before the respective Magistrate’s Courts facing four counts of business robbery, possession of suspected stolen property and possession of unlicensed firearm.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has commended the diligent work of all officers involved and urged community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
