TWO FOREIGN NATIONALS INVOLVED IN A BRUTAL MURDER OF A 40-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED AT GAMOTHAPO MAGOA VILLAGE
 
POLOKWANE: Mankweng police apprehended two foreign nationals aged 20 and 50 in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old man at Ga Mothapo, Magoa village under Mankweng policing area, on Tuesday, 09 April 2024.

According to the information received, the first victim alleged that he was asleep at home when his mother woke him up and told him there were people who wanted to see him outside. He then went outside and found three unknown men who forced him into their Toyota Hilux bakkie white in colour which was parked outside the yard.

The family became suspicious and tried to fight the suspects. They overpowered them and drove towards Maremadi village. They mobilized the community and followed the suspects. On arrival at the scene, the victims were found with severe injures. The police were notified.

The victims were transported to the nearest hospital, and the second victim succumbed to his injuries. 
He was identified by his sister as Sipho Tebogo Letsoalo 40, residing at Ments village.

The victims were accused of being involved in the business robbery at one of the spaza shops belonging to one of the suspects.

Subsequently, two suspects were arrested at Maremadi village at the scene and charged with murder.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, condemned the incident and called upon the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and report suspected criminal activities to the police. 

The duo will appear before Mankweng District Court on Thursday, 11 April 2024. 
More arrests are expected. 

Police investigations are still continuing.
