SAPS DETECTIVES IN THOHOYANDOU LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS WHO SHOT A BUSINESS MAN AT MULEDANE LOCATION
POLOKWANE: The Thohoyandou Police Detectives launched a massive manhunt following a murder incident that occurred at Muledane location, in Thohoyandou policing area, on Wednesday, 13 March 2024 at about 18h00.
Police received an alert about the shooting incident, and quickly responded, but the victim was already transported to the hospital by his brother, who was with him during the shooting.
Police proceeded to the hospital, where they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. A male victim aged 34 was declared dead, and his identity is still withheld for investigation purposes.
Preliminary reports indicated that the victim was outside his bar lounge with three other people, including his brother, when a group of unknown gunmen driving a Mazda 3 emerged and suddenly opened fire to their direction. Others managed to escape, but unfortunately, the owner of the bar lounge was shot and killed.
Police opened cases of murder and three counts of attempted murder. Investigation to arrest the suspects is still underway.
