MPHEPHU POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS WHO SHOT AND KILLED A 38-YEAR-OLD MAN AT A SCRAP YARD MATIDZA VILLAGE

POLOKWANE: The Police at Mphephu, in Vhembe District have launched a manhunt for suspects who fatally wounded a 38-year-old man at Matidza village on Friday, 02 February 2024, at around 22:45.

It is reported that, the victim was at the local scraphard (workshop) with the owner and his friend sitting in vehicle, when unknown suspects fired several shots at the direction of the vehicle. The 38 year old was caught and unfortunately killed in the process. The shooting apparently happened shortly after the victim had just arrived at the scrap hard.

During the shooting, the owner of scrap yard and his friend managed to escape the attack unhurt by fleeing to safety. After the shooting, they found the victim seriously injured and was certified dead by paramedics on the scene.

The Police opened a case of murder for further investigations.
