SAPS MAAKE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR UNKNOWN MALE SUSPECT OF RAPE AND HOUSE ROBBERY
POLOKWANE:The Police in Maake have launched a manhunt for unknown male suspect of rape and house robbery occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 05 November 2023 at Motjeteng village outside Tzaneen in Mopani District.
According to the information available at this stage, it is alleged that a 77-year-old female was surprised to see unknown male person standing next to the bed in her bedroom while asleep, suddenly the suspect forced himself to the victim and raped her repeatedly. Afterwards the suspect threatened her with a knife and demanded money.
It is alleged that the victim was robbed of undisclosed amount of money and ultimately the suspect fled the scene.
The Police have opened a case of rape and house robbery at Maake Police Station and transferred the docket to Tzaneen Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit for further investigation.
