PROTESTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS FROM MASHISHIMALE VILLAGE IN PHALABORWA TORCHED RENAL PATIENTS TRANSPORT LEAVING MAPHUTHA MALATJIE PATIENTS STRANDED

Limpopo health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba is angered by criminality acts as demonstrated by community members of Mashishimale in Baphalaborwa municipality who decided to burn a hospital vehicle dedicated to transport renal patients due for dialysis.

The vehicle, while in the line of duty, was intercepted and forcibly halted by protesting members of the local community, leading to the forcefully evacuation of the staff on board and setting of the vehicle alight.

“This is not just a demonstration of self hate, but both witchcraft and acts of criminality. We call upon responsible citizens to assist police and arrest all those responsible for this barbaric act. Renal patients requiring regular dialysis risk losing their lives if they don’t receive dialysis,” said MEC Ramathuba.
