MOTETEMA SAPS LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR A MALE SUSPECT ESCAPING FROM LAWFUL CUSTODY
POLOKWANE:The Police in Motetema have launched a manhunt for a 31-year-old male suspect Thapelo Sebola who allegedly escaped from lawful custody.
It is alleged that the members of SAPS Motetema Detectives were transporting the suspect from Polokwane prison to Motetema on Thursday 12 October 2023 . Apparently when driving along D4100 Road at Mogaladi junction next to Tompi Seleka Agricultural College the suspect allegedly escaped from Police van and fled into the bushes .
Circumstances surrounding the escape is being investigated.
The suspect is facing serious charges that included murder and attempted murder reported at Motetema and Lebowakgomo respectively.
The Police have immediately activated a manhunt for the fugitive.The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo’, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called upon the Community to assist information that can lead to the rearrest of the suspect.
Anyone with information that can assist Police , in rearresting the escapee should contact the Investigating Officer Captain Malesela Mothokwa at 082 414 6464 alternatively report to the nearest Police Station and can also share information on MysapsApp.
