TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH MALL ROBBERIES IN VHEMBE TO APPEAR BEFORE COURT
POLOKWANE: Two suspects arrested in connection with robberies in Thohoyandou Malls in Vhembe District will be appearing before Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, on Monday 19 June 2023 facing charges of robberies, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition among other charges.
The suspects were arrested at Shayandima zone 10. and Thohoyandou Block G, on Friday 16 June 2023 during a joint operation conducted by Vhembe Trio Task Team.
Investigations linked the suspects with Thohoyandou case, Shayandima case, Post office Phangami case and Capitec Venda plaza case that were earlier in the month opened at Vhembe District, for cross pavement robberies.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has praised the Police for working tirelessly in these as they ensured that suspects are arrested.
More arrest for the remaining suspects are expected.
