SUSPECT APPREHENDED FOR DEALING IN DRUGS AND ANOTHER FOR POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTIES

Two suspects were arrested at different locations under Maake policing area for dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen properties respectively. The suspects were arrested during the operations that were conducted yesterday, Friday 20 January 2023.

The Police conducting operation “Vala Konke” received information about the suspect who was dealing in drung in his residence at Sofaya village, Ga-Sekororo. The house was searched and the following drugs were seized:

  • 134 x packets containing nyaope.
  • 65 x small packets of crystal myth.
  • 01 x medium crystal myth.
  • 5 x packets of dagga.
  • 01 x lobylo plastic containing dagga seeds.

The suspect ages 47 was immediately placed under arrest for possession and dealing in drugs.

In another operation that was conducted a suspect at Tickeyline village under Maake policing precinct, a 37 year-old suspect was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of suspected stolen properties worth R49 000.00.

Five (5) black Dell computer box, Philip Led computer screen, Packard Bell computer screen, Led projector, HP computer, Corsair, Delux computer, Orion computer, 3 keyboard (gigabyte, Proline, aresim1), Power Kingdom battery, 2 side cutters, 2 hammers, 2 spanners, 2 screw drivers, 4 mouses, 3 computer cables, 1 Mic, 1 cable, 1 crowbar and Temperature tester (thermometer) were recovered and confiscated.

Preliminary probe conducted at the scene led the members to the physical address of the origin of the stolen properties where the owner made a positive identification of the stolen properties.

The two suspects will appear in Maake Magistrate court on Monday 23 January 2023 facing separate charges of possession of stolen property and possession and dealing in drugs.
