EFF STATEMENT ON THE REPUGNANT PHENOMENON OF “FRIENDS OF
DELEGATES”.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo calls on all its members to desist
from any form of gatherings outside the Provincial Peoples’ Assembly taking place this
weekend 17-19 December 2022 at Ngoako Ramathlodi Sports Complex, Seshego,
outside Polokwane. Over the years, an ill-informed culture of ill-discipline has taken
root in our ranks, where EFF members who are not delegates of assemblies gather
outside assembly venues, at times engaging in public displays of alcohol and loud
music.
The EFF Constitution and Guidelines do not provide for any form of gatherings of
“friends of delegates”. In fact, there is no provision anywhere in the EFF for such a
status, let alone such gatherings. We condemn these gatherings and declare them
both repugnant and unorganisational.
First, they are a sign of ill-discipline, violating every prescript in the EFF revolutionary
code of discipline. If you have not been democratically elected to represent any of the
EFF branches in an assembly, you should not attend. Secondly, the gatherings bring
our movement into disrepute. They damage the image of the EFF, portraying it as
disorganised formation whose members have no discipline.
No one is permitted to attend any assembly of the EFF if they are not a delegate. No
one should gather in any form outside any of the assembly venues. All members of
the EFF must reject any invitation, from anyone, to gather outside the PPA as they will
face disciplinary action. We will collect all necessary information and evidence of
anyone who is not a delegate and gathers in any form outside the Limpopo PPA venue
or any of its booked hotels.
Members of the EFF must exercise discipline and protect the reputation of the EFF
and its meetings at all times. If you are not a delegate, do not come anywhere near
the PPA. Order and discipline are the greatest requirements of any successful
revolution, without which no struggle can be conducted with dignity. We shall therefore
enforce order and discipline with the full might of our revolutionary law!
