Postbank suspended ATM withdrawals for Sassa beneficiaries this month due to card fraud.
Beneficiaries are advised to obtain their grants from retailers.
Spokesperson Bongani Diako says their system detected suspicious activity.
He says the matter is currently under investigation.
“As you may remember, a few months ago Postbank reported to Parliament that we had been victims of fraud,” he said.
“We then put measures into our system to then be able to systematically detect this and that is what led us to now suspend payments on ATMs this time around.”
